MA geography
Frank is a Master’s student in Geography working as a Research Assistant at TCA. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Spatial Planning from Ghana and is passionate about using geographic information science for environmental planning. Frank is particularly interested in the social dimensions of ecological management, particularly Nature-based adaptation approaches. His favorite part of working on ecological restoration projects is actively contributing to biodiversity improvements and seeing the direct benefits for communities.
Frank’s research focuses on assessing stakeholder perceptions of Nature-based Coastal Adaptation (NbCA) approaches in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. The study aims to identify barriers and opportunities for NbCA implementation by exploring community perceptions of coastal hazards like flooding and erosion. Using surveys, GIS spatial analysis, and participatory mapping, the project seeks to inform coastal adaptation planning and contribute to more effective and sustainable interventions.
