Making Room for Wetlands Project Manager

TCA is seeking a full-time Project Manager for the Making Room for Wetlands projects. Through these projects, tidal wetland habitat and natural hydrology will be restored through managed dyke realignment within multiple estuaries in the Upper Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia. These projects will restore valuable tidal wetland habitat, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by sequestering carbon, mitigate riverine flooding and increase the resilience of the province’s dykelands.

Position Title: Project Manager

Start Date: April 2025

Salary: $65,000 - $69,450 commensurate with experience, plus benefits

Status: Full-time (35 hrs a week)

End Date: June 1st, 2027, with possibility of renewal

Communications and Engagement Officer

TransCoastal Adaptations: Centre for Nature-Based Solutions (TCA) at Saint Mary’s University is seeking a full-time Communications and Engagement Officer for the Centre. The Communications and Engagement Officer will manage the communications and engagement for the Centre and support multiple communications plans for various short-term and long-term projects ongoing with our project partners.

Position Title: Communications and Engagement Officer

Start Date: April 2025 Salary: $51,506 - $58,306 commensurate with experience, plus benefits

Status: Full-time (35 hrs a week)

Coastal Sediment Technician

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting field work led by TCA’s Coastal Carbon Research Associate, learning how to operate a particle size analyzer and conducting sediment analysis within the In-CoaST lab.

This position is limited to applicants from the following groups:Indigenous People (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit)

Coastal Research Technician

In this position, you will be mainly responsible for both field and laboratory duties with TCA’s In_CoaST lab. This includes following sampling and monitoring protocols, aiding with the installation of scientific equipment in tidal systems, supporting graduate students with their data collection in coastal environments, collecting sediment samples, conducting vegetation samples, and processing samples in the lab.
