TransCoastal Adaptations is working to bring Green Shores for Homes to the Maritimes so that homeowners can easily implement shore-friendly practices on their properties and reap the benefits of improved beach access, erosion mitigation, and wildlife habitat protection.

Green Shores for Homes is a program developed by the Stewardship Centre for British Columbia, and has active chapters in BC as well as the State of Washington.

The NEWLY UPDATED Green Shores for Homes (GSH) Credits and Rating Guide 2023 is a tool for waterfront homeowners and their contractors to develop their properties in a shore friendly way that meets the Green Shores principles. It applies to all types of shorelines in both marine and lake environments—from rocky to sand and gravel shores, estuaries to mudflats, rock cliffs and coastal bluffs.
