As an upcoming environmental scientist, working at In_CoaST has sparked my interest in projects related to climate change adaptation, especially at a time when there are many uncertainties surrounding the future of our planet. I have had the privilege of working as a Hydrodynamics Research Technician, gaining both lab and field experience. My honours research is a field-based study that focuses on the wave attenuation capacity of salt marshes.  More research is yet to be done in Atlantic Canada to help protect communities from coastal hazards and to inform salt marsh conservation and restoration decisions.

My main interests are sustainable development and climate change – its impacts and mitigation. I am also interested in salt marsh restoration and applying nature-based solutions where needed.

I am currently working as a Coastal Wetland Research Technician at In_CoaST, where I process sediment samples and analyze relevant data.
