Are you interested in learning how you can implement nature-based solutions on your own shores? The Green Shores program offers solutions for shoreline property owners, managers, and anyone interested in shoreline ecosystem protection to address issues like shoreline erosion, sea level rise and climate change.
We are partnering with Halifax Regional Municipality and the Ecology Action Centre to provide Level 1 training session on March 29th (9am-4pm) as part of HRM’s Living Lakeshores project! This one-day course introduces basic shoreline ecosystem principles and the rationale, benefits, and application of the Green Shores Program.
This FREE training has been made possible thanks to funding from HRM and the support of the Ecology Action Centre. These training sessions are intended for residents of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Training will take place in person at the Chocolate Lake Recreation Centre from 9am to 4pm, with a practical field visit in the afternoon. All training materials will be provided.
